Welding tables
November 1st 2006 Now available in the UK is the modular S4 system of welding tables, introduced by Surface Technology under a sole agency agreement with the Siegmund Group, Germany. Used mainly as welding tables, other workshop applications include multi-clamping assemblies, measuring, monitoring, fixture construction, bending and folding. At the heart of the S4 system is a universal ball bolt that can be fixed in place with one hand in a matter of seconds, greatly reducing set-up or change-over times. the company says that comparative tests with conventional work tables and screw clamps showed a potential saving in working time of up to 40%. Manufacturing tolerance is to 0.03mm and the use of high quality steels guarantees long life and a high degree of dimensional precision even after many years.
