Tough welding tasks made easier
November 1st 2006 Easyweld aluminium welding rods from Durafix are designed to make the welding of aluminium a fast and straightforward task. In addition to aluminium, the rods can be used to weld almost all other non-ferrous metals and alloys; the company says they can even be used to produce strong welded joints in galvanised steel and between dissimilar non-ferrous metals. No special equipment is needed to make welds with Easyweld rods; their low working temperature of 392°C means they can be used in conjunction with almost any ordinary, handheld blow torch. For the convenience of new users, Durafix offers the rods in the form of inexpensive kits, complete with a high quality auto- or manual-ignition torch. Users who already have a suitable torch can purchase the Easyweld rods separately in a wide range of pack sizes.
