January 1st 2007 For less complex welding tasks where quality is important, Murex Welding Products has introduced the Tradesmig 140-1. Its built-in wire feeder and low weight (25kg) make it a practical solution for light fabricators, auto repair shops and farmers. The single phase, 230V unit can be used with conventional solid wire and self-shielding cored wire. It is designed for the welding of steel and stainless steel, as well as for brazing. Wire diameters from 0.6 to 0.8mm can be used with wire feed speeds of 2 to 14m/min. It uses 5kg wire spools. The unit has four voltage steps for adjustment of power and provides 35 to 130A current output. A gas-cooled MXL 150V torch with ergonomic handle and work return lead is provided.
