Tolerance compensation system launched
March 1st 2007

KMT Cutting Systems (formerly ABB IR Waterjet Systems) has launched a new Tolerance Compensation system for its range of 6-axis robotic routing systems.

Routing is a dry cut process that uses an electrically powered routing head with a spindlemounted bit, which is spun at very high speeds up to 50,000 rpm to trim edges and form holes and slots in a wide range of polymeric materials.

The Tolerance Compensation system is just one of a wide range of options such as a barcode reader, skip functions, an automated toolchanging system and air cleaning system that can be readily incorporated in the modular design of KMT's routing systems, all designed to increase machine uptime and utilisation.
