Surface finish
May 1st 2007

Surface finishHuntsman Advanced Materials RenShape styling and modelling boards and Araldite laminating resin system were used to create the surface finish on the IZANA from SIVAX.

RenShape BM 5025 is a low density styling board, lightweight and easy to handle with good machinability. BM 5025 also offers good heat resistance and is resistant to organic solvents – making it suitable for automotive concept modelling applications.

Araldite LY 5052/Aradur 5052 is a low viscosity, cold curing epoxy system and is suitable for industrial composites and tooling applications. It has a long pot life (2hours / 100ml at ambient temperature) making it useful for the production of the large components often required for concept vehicles.
