Shot peening investment
March 1st 2006 Wheelabrator Group has completed a £500 000 investment in premises for its specialist shot peening product range, Impact Finishers.
Two new sites have given a combined extra working area of 35 000ft2 and the ability to house £400 000 of new equipment, leading to an increase in production capability and efficiency.
Existing machinery worth £2m has been relocated and the move will allow a range of new equipment to be made available to customers, including a multipurpose shot peening machine.
The move follows the opening earlier this year of a £250 000 facility in Cork.
Impact Finishers' team provides sub-contract services to the automotive, aerospace and medical industries, as well as for power generation and petrochemical plant companies.
