Bott goes greener and leaner September 1st 2007 Workplace and storage equipment
manufacturer, Bott, has invested
£175 in a more efficient and
environmentally friendly finishing
plant at the firm's Bude factory.
The new paint line, made by
German firm Wagner, is used to
coat Bott's range of storage and
workplace solutions.
The plant will further improve the
paint finish on cupboards,
shelving, workstations and mobile
units, cut the amount of raw
material used, reduce electricity
consumption and lead to faster
changes between paint colours.
Changes between colours used
to take between 3 and 4h; the new
equipment cuts that to 15min,
allowing Bott to respond more
quickly to customer requirements.
A key environmental benefit is a
reduction in the amount of epoxy
powder used. Around 98% of the
powder is recovered through the
plant's extraction and recycling
system. The plant also uses less
compressed air and electricity than
its predecessor. More articles from Bott Ltd: |
