Global Rebar Services supplies and services specialist equipment for processing steel reinforcing bars. It attributes its success to data on its ability to diversify into new markets and has researched the range of potential opportunities offered by the waterjet machining process.
A demonstration machine is used to show potential customers the benefits of this versatile cutting technology. A Knuth 1.5m square bed and a cantilevered arm machine were selected, together with a KMT Waterjet Systems' Streamline 15 HP intensifier and an Autoline abrasive cutting head.
KMT pumps are supplied with free software for estimating the cost of cutting components. Global Rebar Services runs the software package when it is preparing quotations for the sub-contract cutting work that it carries out for companies that cannot justify purchasing their own machine.
With its KMT Streamline 15hp intensifier and abrasive handling capacity, the machine can process virtually any material, from thin foam sheet to steel, granite and glass. More articles from KMT Waterjet Systems: |
