Chamfering boost

With the introduction of its TKA 500, Trumpf has extended its portable chamfering and deburring capability to 5mm.

A key feature of the unit is its ability to cut with good surface quality, important for large, visible welded edges.

The high power 1400W motor on the TKA 500 and triple-blade tool system enable high feed rates, while integrated vibrationdampening is said to ensure fatigue-free operation. It is able to cut 45 and 30° angles as well as radii edges. Chamfer height is easily and precisely adjusted without the need for extra tools.

Typical applications include the chamfering of bearing components in automotive manufacture and T-beams in steel construction. The device is also expected to prove beneficial in tool and die construction, container manufacture, shipbuilding and so on.
