Metalworking fluids on show March 1st 2008 Fuchs Lubricants (UK) will be
showcasing its latest developments
in water-soluble metalworking
fluids – the Ecocool Ultralife range.
The product was developed in
response to new HSE guidelines
concerning the control of bacterial
contamination in used coolants. It
is designed to give optimum
machining performance and
surface finish, and provides a high
degree of machining cleanliness
for an improved working
environment.
The company says that a key
attribute of the Ecocool Ultralife
range is the biologically hard
nature of the products.
Paul Littley, R&D spokesperson,
explains "Our new Ultralife range
creates an environment where
bacteria find it difficult to proliferate.
This in turn provides extended
coolant life, reduces the need for
tank side additions and reduces
maintenance and monitoring in
machine shops. This consequently
reduces fluid consumption, reduces
waste generation and minimises
disposal costs. Manufacturers
cannot fail to notice the cost
advantages that these products
bring."
