Free horror movie
May 1st 2006

Alfa Laval is offering its metalworking and machining industry customers the chance to own their own version of a genuine industrial horror movie.

Featuring the company's Alfie 500 centrifugal separator, the film demonstrates precisely what horrors can lurk beneath the surface of coolants and cutting fluids if they go untreated. In fact, it is a horror movie containing scenes that any production engineer would find disturbing.

In one scene, untreated machine coolant swirls around, awash with tramp oil. In another, anaerobic bugs lurk, producing the familiar bad eggs smell of hydrogen sulphide gas, causing health & safety issues and generally making a nuisance of themselves.

As in all good movies, these villains get their come-uppance before the last reel in the shape of the ultra-efficient Alfie 500 which gets rid of tramp oil and metal fines and returns clean, pure oil to the coolant reservoir. In the process, it saves the hands and health of machine operators, increases cutting and tooling accuracy and solves the problem and costs associated with safe disposal of used coolant.

The Alfie 500 film can be accessed and downloaded on the Alfa Laval Uk website at alfalaval.co.uk.
