New for MACH
March 1st 2006

XYZ Machine Tools' 368 sq.m stand at MACH 2006 will be home to 23 machine tools, several of them making their exhibition debuts. However, this year will see a change of emphasis in terms of stand design and layout, with XYZ determined to highlight the full extent of its product portfolio while continuing to promote its best selling ranges of manual and manual/CNC machine tools.

The new eTurn and eMill manual machines and manual/CNC lathes and turret/bed mills equipped with the new ProtoTRAK SLX and ProtoTRAK SMX controls will be joined by various examples of computer controlled machine tools. These include the new Mini Turn compact turning centre and two larger models of turning centre; two compact vertical machining centres - the Mini Mill 560 and the recently introduced Mini MiIl 450, and a new high speed vertical machining centre with a 15,000 rev/min spindle, 45 m/min rapid traverses, swarf conveyor as standard and Siemens high spec 840D Shopmill control; the new BRM 60-100 CNC bridge mill - one of six possible configurations for this particular machine; and the new, mid-range, XL 1100 CNC flat bed lathe - the designation relating to swing over the bed and not the distance between centres, which can be up six metres (or up to 10 metres for the largest XL CNC lathe, which has a swing over bed of 1500 mm).
