CNC retrofit March 1st 2005 By retrofitting an Anilam 3000M Series CNC to an Avon knee-type milling machine, ACI Europe agent, Machine Tool Controls, has implanted what it says is an unrivalled level of user-friendliness into machining operations at the United Bristol Healthcare NHS Trust’s Medical Equipment Management Organisation.
The retrofit involved extensive rewiring of the machine, and an Anilam 3000M three-axis CNC was installed to replace a G-code based control. The two/three-axis CNC has a minimum of 8MB of RAM and uses Anilam’s easy-to-use machinist’s language, coupled with a wide range of standard cycles. More articles from Wildish Communications Ltd: |
