Bench-top measuring system
May 1st 2008 A simple-to-use, bench-top video
measuring system, designed for
3D work pieces, has been
launched by Nikon Instruments.
Priced to create a new entry
point into video measurement, the
flexibility of the Nikon iNexiv VMA-
2520 video has been enhanced
through the addition of the
Renishaw touch probe modular
system. 3D contact measurement
combined with non-contact optical
measurement provides a compact,
multi-sensor machine that is said to
significantly cut measurement time.
The device is suitable for rapid
QC checks and demanding R&D
work with metal, plastic and rubber
components, as well as complex
electronic mechanical assemblies.
The iNexiv VMA-2520 requires
minimal bench space, providing a
250 by 200mm stage and a 200mm
Z-axis stroke on a highly stable
platform.Working distance is in
excess of 70mm.
The unit offers 10x zoom optics
