Torque tests March 1st 2008 For production
lineside testing,
Bentley Motors in
Crewe purchased
from Crane
Electronics' five
MTTS (Mobile
Torque Test
Stations), with
one being located
in the engine
build area and
four in the final
assembly areas.
They are used to ensure that
every mechanical production tool
is regularly checked for general
wear and tear, or to advise
whether performance is being
impaired by any other external
influences. Tools are then
adjusted, with the whole
procedure carried out quickly and
accurately to ensure minimal
disruption to production process.
Satisfied with the performance
of the MTTS, the company has
opted for eight ProWrench Opta
digital wrenches for the production
line of the Bentley Continental GT
and its calibration department More articles from Crane Electronics Ltd: |
