Rotates caravans through 90° January 1st 2007 When Pemberton Leisure Homes was upgrading its Wigan factory and looking to improve assembly line operation, it turned to British Turntable for a manually operated revolve to speed production and save space. The 2.5m dia turntable, which has a capacity of 7.5t, is used to manoeuvre the company's large static caravans into another part of the factory. By placing the caravan's wheels on the revolve, which is sunk into the assembly line floor, the caravan can be rotated easily through 90° on its own axis, saving ground space and labour.
