Low-dust blasting November 1st 2011 New from the EnviraSponge Division
of the Samuel Hodge Group is a dry
abrasive blasting system that
minimises dust, improves visibility for
operators and reduces containment
and extraction requirements.
The process is particularly suitable
for confined spaces and areas where
uncontrolled dust causes problems
for operators or damages other
equipment.
The EnviraSponge system uses an
advanced sponge-coated abrasive that
flattens on impact with the target
surface, allowing the abrasive to make
contact with it and perform the work
required, while the sponge absorbs
the dust created in a controlled way.
Media is currently available in nine
standard grades, giving profiles on
steel from 5 to 100 microns. More articles from Hodge Clemco: |
