Atlas VSD range boost
January 1st 2006 Atlas Copco has added the GA7VSD to its Variable Speed Drive compressors family - taking the range from 7.7 to 900kW. It claims this makes it the most extensive VSD product range on the market.
The company says customers with smaller air demands can benefit from electrical energy cost savings of up to 35%, precise pressure control and increased reliability.
The GAVSD offers a flow range of 7 to 20 l/s (15 too 43 cfm) and two pressure variants: 10 bar and 13 bar. With AtlasCopco's VSD feature of electrical gearing, operators can simply set the working pressure from 4-10 bar on the 10 bar version and 4 - 13 bar on the 13 bar unit.
