Safer system March 1st 2004 Carrs Silverware of Sheffield has replaced a trichloroethylene plant with an aqueous ultrasonic cleaning system from Kerry Ultrasonics and seen productivity rise by 20%.
The five-stage MF525 has two separate cleaning stages. Both use Mersol detergent which is effective at removing polishing compound. The two stages, one in mains water, the other de-ionised, ensure parts are free from contamination before any remaining moisture is eliminated by a hot air dry.
Increased productivity results from the greater throughput achieved by the new unit and this, in turn, is attributed to the cleaning process being automated via an Autotrans Mk 4 robotic handling system. More articles from Kerry Ultrasonics Ltd: |
