Productivity gains from new cnc tool grinder March 1st 2004 Several new products will be demonstrated at MACH 2004 by Walter GB as part of its tool system display.
New products include the Helitronic Vision five-axis cnc tool grinder, that promises tool grinding productivity gains of up to 50% over competitive machines, and the Xtra.tec tool programme that is said to be capable of halving machining times on steel workpieces.
In addition, a new pallet loading system from the Helitronic Vision machine will be on show, alongside the Helitronic Tool Studio programming system and the super-fast Heli Toolcheck tool measuring machine.
The new products are designed to complement the companys existing range of tooling, that includes Tiger.tec and Quartec inserts, and cnc tool and cutter grinders, such as the two-in-one Helitronic Diamond that combines cnc erosion of PCD tools with conventional cnc grinding of carbide and HSS tools.
The company also provides TDM tool management software and Novex Express special-purpose tool design and manufacturing service.
