New drivers impact a powerful punch March 1st 2004 The latest Makita 6932 FDWDE 14.4v impact
driver provides the percussion action of up to 3000 impacts per minute to the
screw head and also delivers rotation.
The lightweight yet
powerful driver is said to be 30% faster than
conventional drill/drivers.
The percussion action forces the bit into the cross slot in the head of the screw while the drive rotates the screw. This action
reduces the chances of the
bit jumping out of the
slot or caming out
which damages the screw head and wastes time.
The 6932 runs at up to 2300rpm and is equally effective in sanding and polishing applications. Its ac style
Marathon motor is powered by environmentally safe 2.6Ah Nickel Metal Hydride batteries capable of driving more than one hundred 65mm long screws into pine on a single charge.
With up to 125Nm of torque available, compared with 30Nm
for a typical drill/driver,
a substantial
reduction in hand and arm pressure is
achieved. More articles from Makita UK Ltd: |
