March 1st 2004 Internal surfaces of gas bottles and other cylindrical metal containers can be cleaned automatically and consistently in less that 3min in a new abrasive blast cabinet from Hodge Clemco.
Items to be processed, which can be from 55 to 205mm internal dia and from 76 to 1200mm high, are placed on a rotating turntable inside the cabinet. Abrasive material is then projected at the internal surface through a lance that gradually rises inside the container.
A wide variety of abrasives can be used to suit the material involved and the effect required, including aluminium oxide, chilled iron, stainless steel shot and glass beads. More articles from Hodge Clemco: |
