New from Crane Electronics is the Opta Comms+ data management and software package. Designed for use with the companys TorqueStar Opta and DTT Opta torque instruments, it allows them to communicate with a pc to upload and download data and settings.

Opta comms + is offered at a special price until 31 October 2004 TorqueStar Opta packages including free copies of Opta comms software are available.

Opta comms enables an Opta unit for two-way communication with a pc, allowing the set up of users, transducers, jobs and rounds on the pc remote from the Opta unit. Set-up data can be uploaded or downloaded between the pc and Opta. Measurement data can be archived in Opta Comms.
