January 1st 2006 The Machine Building show will be used by Eplan to demonstrate an electrical tool for the schematic design and documentation of industrial automation systems.
The PC-based software, sold and supported in the UK by Rittal, can be used either as a stand-alone system or by several designers working simultaneously on a project across a network. Time savings, improved quality and efficiency are all benefits claimed.
The company says return on investment is easily achieved as the required evaluations - such as point to point wiring lists, cable, terminal and connector data - are all generated automatically and output as part of the drawing set of the project or as a file to be exported to spreadsheets.
