Redpas Digital Print and Cut is a new company that provides cutting and manufacturing solutions to a range of industries across the UK. It attributes its success, in part, to a Power Jet waterjet cutting machine with Streamline SL-V 30 intensifier from KMT Waterjet Systems.

The 400 bar machine is capable of abrasive cutting materials as diverse as foam and composites, stainless steel, graphite, ceramics, plastics, aluminium and stone, and can cut materials up to 200mm thick on its 3 by 2m bed to an accuracy of 20microns.

As waterjet is a cold cutting process there is no heat affected zone and no material deformation.

The machine was simple to install and integrate into a complete waterjetting system together with Abraline abrasive conveying system that ensures the correct amount of abrasive is supplied during the cutting operation.

The SL-V 30 intensifier has met the company's requirement for a pump that can operate 8h/day, 7 days a week without failure.
