Production flows improved July 1st 2007 PRODUCTION FLOWS
As the latest edition to
Wheelabrator Group's
successful Equipment
Modernisation Programme
(EMP), the Titan turbine has
been designed specifically
to increase efficiency by
improving the blast
performance of existing
machinery. It can be
adapted to fit virtually any
wheel blast machine, will
lower media consumption,
reduce downtime and cut
production costs.
Lawson Pryke, director of
equipment modernisation
programmes at
Wheelabrator Group, said:
"The Titan Turbine is the
result of extensive research
and development and we
believe it to be the best
wheel available today. In
some installations it has
improved efficiency by more
than 30%. By adding higher
quality wheels to existing
machinery, users can quickly
achieve better production
flows and reduced costs, as
well as extending the life of
valuable equipment.
"Training and spares
support are included after
installation and carried out
by the team at
Wheelabrator Plus, the after
sales division of
Wheelabrator Group.
Maintenance is easy and
doesn't require a highly
qualified engineer to
complete operations. This
makes Titan a straight
forward and beneficial
addition to many
production processes."
With increased space
between the blast wheel and
the wear plates, noise levels
are also reduced, creating a
better working environment
for all employees.
The Equipment
Modernisation Programmes
are part of the wider

services. These include
