Soda for metal

East Lancashire Chemical Company can now provide companies involved in the processing of metals varieties of soda that are safe for use on aluminium and galvanised zinc.

Carbodec AS contains a corrosion inhibitor to stop the chemical reaction between sodium carbonate and aluminium/galvanised zinc. The crystalline range of Soda Crystals for industry can be tailored for particular tasks with different additives.

The company says that Soda Crystals are effective at removing grease and dirt and have few environmental and health and safety implications.

They are not classified as corrosive and can be transported and handled safely. The products come in various sizes, from 25kg containers to full road tankers.
