Cleans small items
January 1st 2006

The latest range of aqueous machines from Wheelabrator Group are designed for metal part washing, degreasing and drying in small to medium batches.

The Clean-Tek SB 300 and SB 400 allow easy processing of small items, including turned parts, pressings, stampings, forgings, extrusions, machined castings and similar components.

Parts are inserted into standard tote pans, plastic containers, mesh baskets or component fixtures that are slotted into the wash chamber drum. The SB 300 drum is 300 by 300 by 400mm while the SB 400 version is slightly larger at 400 by 400 by 600mm.

Each cycle typically lasts only 2min, so a large number of components can be processed in a short time. A rotational spray washing technique, capable of penetrating dense loads, is said to ensure the machines outperform systems such as dunk, screw and tunnel washers.
