Control technologies specialist, Denca Controls, has provided the control system and automation technologies behind a 7-axis flat table mounting and proofing machine developed by J.M.

Heaford of Atrincham for the post print cardboard industry.

Denca's role involves: control panel build, software installation and machinery testing at each customer's premises; development of bespoke automation solutions to meet specific customer requirements and the creation of remote diagnostics solutions for overseas users.

The company is also able to provide aftersales support, fault finding and control system upgrade services to J.M. Heaford's global customer base.

Although operating a technically complex machine, the control system solution is said to provide: a reliable, simply-operated, userfriendly solution remote diagnostics to allow straightforward repair and improvement of proofing processes for overseas customers customer driven development and enhancement of processes to allow customisation to specific needs.

The automation and remote diagnostics system provided by Denca consisted of Siemens S7- 300 PLC, Siemens MP270B HMI colour touch screen, Bosch Rexroth servo control and Siemens Teleservice dial-up adapter.
