Online configurator simplifies design
July 1st 2007

Bosch Rexroth's Easy-2-Combine automation system comprises pneumatic as well as electric drive modules, to provide one-stop, cross technology know-how.

The availability of an online configurator is said to significantly increase the ease with which a system can be specified and ordered. The company says a typical pick-and-place unit can be designed and specified in just 20 min.

Stuart Cheyne, industry segment manager for Pneumatic Automation, says "The online configurator takes the guesswork, and the potential for human error, out at this stage. In many cases using the tool can save the user a day's work. It genuinely can take just 15 to 20min for an engineer to configure a pick-andplace system." The online configurator is accessed via www.boschrexroth.com/ easy-2-combine/.
