Automation solution keeps the juice flowing May 1st 2008 Phase two of an end-of-line
automation solution has
been completed for J
Garcia Carrión by Elettric 80.
The initial system roll out was in
2006 and the second phase was
completed in February 2008. Both
have benefited the Daimiel plant in
Castilla La Mancha which focuses
primarily on juice drink production.
Elettric 80 designed an end-ofline
solution that operates on two
levels; the handling of finished
palletised product and the
transportation of materials (labels,
film reels, empty pallets, and so
on) to and from production lines
and to designated drop-off zones.
Phase one included a conveyorbed
four pallet handling LGV that
collects product and transfers it to
the wrapper; an LGV that transports
empty pallets and raw material to
and from the production line; five
dual fork LGVs that take product
from wrapper to warehouse and
shipping docks; and a flexible
stretch wrapping solution which
can handle quarter, half and Euro
pallets from the production line
without manual intervention or the
stopping of the production process.
Elettric 80 then provided a
robotic palletising solution that
integrates seamlessly with existing
technology and is capable of
handling the pallet configurations. More articles from Elettric 80 AB: |
