Static waste compactors September 1st 2007 Fife Council has chosen
two Randalls Simpak 1800
static waste compactors to
extend the range of
recycling facilities at its
centres in Scotland.
The Simpak 1800 has a
1.7m3 charge box and
7.5kW motor driving up to a
nominal 128m3/hr at a
compaction force of
28,000Kgf. Cycle time is 45
seconds, an average of 10
to 12 tonnes can be
removed in one load.
Compacting processes
cardboard into a convenient
format for removal for
recycling.
The models feature newly
re-designed hoppers each
with a safety-interlock
sliding door system for
opening and closing the
guard when the machine is
in operation.
Instead of the traditional
gull-wing doors on the
guard, there is a vertical
door that slides sideways so
all the contents are enclosed
when the machine is in use.
For safety, the machines
are designed so that they
cannot function unless
these doors are properly
closed. More articles from Skip Units Group: |
