Investment in recycling proves fruitful January 1st 2008 Fruit and vegetable wholesaler
John Palin has become one of the
latest firms to incorporate a Tony
Team TT550 baler into its business
operation. The kit compacts paper
and cardboard waste and generates
extra income for the company.
John Palin is able to save the
cost and eliminate the potential
hazard of using skips on site, and
is making extra profit by selling the
bales to paper and card recycling
merchants. The company saves
£260 a month in skip hire fees and
makes £400 revenue a month from
selling baled card.
David Newton, director, says
"Our waste storage is significantly
improved and we are now able to
sell the mill sized cardboard bales
for recycling. Other local companies
are approaching us to bale their
cardboard for a charge, so we are
not only helping the environment,
but also making extra profit." |
