Helping customers meet WEEE regulations
January 1st 2008

For anyone still confused by the recently introduced WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations), Mercury Recycling has introduced a package that encompasses all of the affected products.

The new regulations ensure business users, manufacturers and retailers of electrical and electronic equipment are responsible for making sure their goods do not end up in landfill or incineration.

Mercury points out that the variety of products in any one company that come under WEEE can be staggering and often involves recycling by many different companies, so disposal via a single source both simplifies and speeds up the entire process.

Mercury will supply containers in a variety of sizes, according to a customer's requirements for ongoing contracts or will quote on one-off collections. All WEEE can be collected, regardless of shape or size. It is then recycled in accordance with current legislation.

Mercury operates a nationwide service, providing all necessary paperwork for a complete audit trail for the customer.

The service is designed to lighten the workload for anyone responsible for financing and organising the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
