Latest guide January 1st 2006 Sensonics has introduced a 28- page Turbine Supervisory Guide that explains the basics of vibration and expansion measurement techniques relating to turbine and auxiliary plant.
The guide points out that problems such as cracked rotors and damaged shafts can be avoided with the application of appropriate monitoring equipment, allowing faults to be detected in the early stages, thereby avoiding lengthy shutdown of the turbine.
