Fastening system eradicates vibration
July 1st 2005

Anew fixing system from SFS intec has been developed to prevent the risk of handarm vibration diseases, including vibration white finger, among workers in manufacturing industries.

Vibration-free, the CF250 floor fixing system comprises a range of fasteners to effectively drill into different thicknesses of timber and steel.

Glen Wainwright, director, says “VWF has been commonplace for a number of years in heavy industries such as mining and steel making, but now we are seeing a rise in the number of incidences of the disease in other manufacturing industries where manual labour is involved.

“Given the introduction of new legislation to tackle VWF, we have developed the CF250 floor fixing system to ensure employers can eliminate the risks and avoid the very real danger of contributing to the ill-health of their employees.”
