Warm welcome for cool system

Hasbro, manufacturer of toys and games, has installed a Breezair evaporative cooling system from Seeley International (Europe) in its Waterford factory. The state-of-the-art system has reduced temperatures in the plastic injection-moulding workshop from a sweltering 28C in summer to a comfortable 23C. The improved working conditions have resulted in greater productivity for the company. Four Breezair units were installed in the injection-moulding workshop. These proved so successful that a further three units have now been installed in other parts of the factory to spot cool areas where temperatures are particularly high. Environmentally-friendly, the Breezair system allows doors and windows to be kept open while it provides a constant flow of naturally cooled air. The system is said to be economic to install, cost effective to run and to consume less energy than conventional air conditioning systems.
