Warm welcome for cool system January 1st 2004 Hasbro, manufacturer of toys and games, has installed a Breezair evaporative cooling system from Seeley International (Europe) in its Waterford factory.
The state-of-the-art system has reduced temperatures in the plastic injection-moulding workshop from a sweltering 28C in summer to a comfortable 23C. The improved working conditions have resulted in greater productivity for the company.
Four Breezair units were installed in the injection-moulding workshop. These proved so successful that a further three units have now been installed in other parts of the factory to spot cool areas where temperatures are particularly high.
Environmentally-friendly, the Breezair system allows doors and windows to be kept open while it provides a constant flow of naturally cooled air.
The system is said to be economic to install, cost effective to run and to consume less energy than conventional air conditioning systems. More articles from Seeley International: |
