Spot cooling July 1st 2005 Temperatures on the factory floor at the Martin-Baker Aircraft Company in Buckinghamshire have been reduced from sweltering summer highs of 40°C to about 23°C.
This follows installation of a Breezair evaporative air cooling system from Seeley International.
A site survey by Cleanair Installations indicated that the factory would need 15 units with coolers strategically placed to provide spot cooling around the factory. The environmentallyfriendly Breezair system is economic to install, cost effective to run and is said to consume less energy than conventional air conditioning systems.
It is capable of providing sufficient cool air to overflow and prevent hot air entering a building. As fresh air is continually drawn from outside, then filtered and washed, the potential for sick building syndrome is avoided. More articles from Seeley International: |
