Reduces wear
September 1st 2004

Belesta XPG extreme pressure grease from Belzona Polymerics uses the company’s Belesta synbionic technology.

This involves use of a polarised synthetic ester polymer that is attracted to the positively charged metal surface of a bearing due to its negative polarity.

Friction is reduced by the layer of lubricant bound to the metal surface. Its special chemistry means chemical entities responsible for providing extreme pressure and anti-wear properties are built directly into the polymer backbone. Even under severe loads, friction losses and wear are kept to a minimum.
