To provide environmental protection and additional storage for a range of bagged products, Appleby Group, based in Scunthorpe, has installed a CopriSystems canopy building. The Appleby Group supplies ground granulated blastfurnace slag (GGBS) to concrete, screed and mortar manufacturers. The product is processed at the Scunthorpe site and available in both bulk and bagged form. The CopriSystems steel framed canopy provides protection while the products are in storage and allows easy operation for access and loading by forklift. Measuring 21 by 20m, it is located adjacent to the bagging unit and was erected with minimum disruption to the site. Brian Smeaton, group engineer, comments We saw the CopriSystems product in a magazine and it is ideal for our needs.
