NEW HEATERS GIVE MAJOR COST SAVING January 1st 2004 When ITT Flygt, manufacturer of submersible pumping products, decided to replace its aging Powrmatic heating system, it opted for a system from the same company.
The new units include three PGUH 45 unit heaters rated at 41kW, two PGUH 60s rated at 51kW, plus five Eurotrol digital control units with optimum start.
All heaters are approved under the governments Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme, that enables customers to recover 100% of the capital allowance in the first year (previously this would have been spread over 10 years). This provided ITT Flygt with a significant additional cost saving.
Mike Lister, buyer, explains With our previous good experience of Powrmatic products, we had no hesitation in renewing our association with the company. Also, by switching from floor standing to suspended unit heaters we benefited from improved space utilisation within the building.
The heaters have proved to be extremely efficient since they were installed in the autumn of 2002. While its too early for specific figures on energy savings, early indications suggest they will be extremely good. More articles from Powrmatic Ltd: |
