Create a level playing field
September 1st 2004

Practical and discrete under floor heating (UFH) provides a cost effective and energy efficient alternative to conventional radiator heating systems. Modern UFH systems can be incorporated into any building with wooden or tiled floors, providing warmth from the floor up creating a comfortable atmosphere and an even distribution of heat.

The system heats the building by circulating warm water through tubing laid into a screed such as UltraFlex SLC1, a single part levelling and smoothing compound or SLC2, a two part smoothing and levelling compound.

These two products, made by the Instarmac Group are ideal for this application. To mix, water is added to the powder to provide a smooth surface and level sub-floor prior to applying floor coverings.

UltraFlex SLC1 can be used on all common existing substrates and is versatile enough to be laid at thickness ranging from 1 to 50mm.
