A new safety bolt from James Walker RotaBolt gives a clear indication, up to 25m away, of loss of tension across a bolted joint.

Maintained tension is critical to the safety of bolted joints and the new system - Vision - gives a constant and highly accurate tension measurement. The bolt is designed to simplify the monitoring of joints in difficult locations, improving safety regimes and make savings in maintenance.

It has a visual indicator that appears as an unbroken yellow line across the head of the bolt. As soon as any tension is lost, the indicator rotates 90° to show a right angle break in the line.
