Multi-tasking camera July 1st 2005 For a variety of security and fire protection applications, the cost of thermal imaging as a stand-alone capability can be prohibitive. To address the problem, Flir Systems has worked with technology partners to integrate thermal imaging into CCTV systems to make them multi-tasking and, therefore, cost effective.
At IFSEC, the company demonstrated this capability within Milestone’s XProtect Enterprise Software.
The concept can be tailored to exact requirements and can incorporate security, condition monitoring, fire detection and process control in a single asset management system. The flexibility of Flir Systems’ cameras is a key component in this multitasking capability. Its A-Series thermal imaging cameras are said to be the world’s first IP addressable thermal imaging cameras that make integration into Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet networks both simple and quick.
Each ThermoVision camera can be equipped with its own URL. More articles from Flir Systems Ltd: |
