Chevron Global Lubricants (CGL) is to supply lubricants for an ecological cogeneration power plant being installed by Romanian pharmaceuticals company Sicomed.

CGL's Romanian subsidiary, Texaco Lubricants Romania, was awarded an annual supply contract for 6t of Geotex LA 40 (gas engine oil). This follows successful product trials during which 2000 running hours were achieved without an oil change.

The plant is one of a series which generate electric and thermal energy in the same process.
