An automated conveyor lubrication system from Castrol is designed to help protect equipment against failure and downtime.

The company claims that by automating conveyor lubrication, its Lubecon system can significantly increase conveyor chain and trolley life, while reducing maintenance costs, downtime, lubricant use, energy consumption and the possibility of product contamination.

Included are dry film lubricants, chain oils and greases, while equipment includes dispensing and conveyor cleaning systems and stretch monitoring equipment.

Castrol's service package can be tailored to a client's needs but typically includes service visits to ensure equipment is functioning effectively, scheduled topping-up of fluid reservoirs and preparing chain stretch reports.

Lubecon uses a computerised system controller that can provide accurate lubrication to up to four lubricators using fluid from a central reservoir with capacities to 200L.
