Temporary use November 1st 2006 When Veolia Environmental Services needed a temporary building to handle bulky items of civic amenity waste and road sweepings, Rubb Buildings came up with a solution. It provided a BVE type building, measuring 30 by 30m with 9.5m high sidewalls and five 4m wide by 5m high roller shutter doors, allowing delivery and removal of material simultaneously. A 600mm concrete upstand provides anchorage and a white, semi-translucent roof fabric provides a bright interior and helps cut energy costs as the need for artificial lighting is reduced in daytime. The heat reflectivity of the roof helps keep the building cool. More articles from Rubb Building Systems: |
