Equipment from ThorWorld Industries has been chosen for a warehouse extension at Special Offer Supplies, Derby, provider of food products to retailers.

Each of the warehouse’s two loading bays have ThorWorld dock shelters measuring 3400mm wide and 3600mm high to allow vehicle loading and unloading to take place completely under cover.

The shelters’ side and head curtains are on a timber frame with pleats fitted at the wear parts. The Neoprene curtain has flexible stays for extra rigidity.

ThorWorld also supplied each bay with a 2100mm wide by 2860mm long electro hydraulic dock leveller with a capacity of 6000kg to cope with all vehicles currently using the warehouse.

The dock levellers, fitted into pre-prepared pits, have a tough, self-supporting sub-frame with platform and lip made from high tensile steel. A low-pressure hydraulic system provides ease of operation and maintenance.
