Doors satisfy speed demand May 1st 2009 As cutting-edge technology within
the Bangor Waste Transfer Station
will remove dust and smells to make
it one of the cleanest air facilities in
the UK, specifying the correct doors
– which would be constantly
opening and closing – was an
important decision for Michael
Whitley Architects acting as project
managers for North Down Borough
Council.
When the Megadoor product
from Crawford UK was offered as a
solution,Michael Whitley
commented that the doors met speed
and noise requirements and gave
large clear spans. They are also used
by some other large waste operators.
An additional requirement which
Crawford was able to adhere to was
that the door could include a
specifically coloured motif.
The electrically operated
Megadoors were supplied as single
doors to give clear opening widths
up to 21 000mm by 6000 high. They
open quickly, are low maintenance
and withstand winds up to 100mph.
Crawford offers a service contract
linked to an extended warranty. More articles from Crawford UK Ltd: |
