Green lamps
May 1st 2008

Royal Philips Electronics' energy efficient lamps, Master TL- D Xtreme and ActiViva, have been installed in the Glenmorangie bottling plant. The new generation of fluorescent lamps offer high performance, are environmentallyfriendly and low on mercury.

The distillery runs a 24h operation 7 days a week. The Master TL-D Xtreme lamps have a service life of 77 000h and lumen depreciation value of less than 10% after 10 years. Their reliability means the lifetime can be calculated allowing maintenance to be scheduled to cause least disturbance.

With a colour rendering index of Ra 80, the lamps offer excellent light quality and comply to EN12464-1 standards.

Philips ActiViva lamps have replaced conventional fluorescents in the office area and transformed it from a dull, poorly lit space to one which is crisp and bright.
